James qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the early eighties having gained extensive experience of the hotel, leisure and hospitality sectors of that period . An initial two year posting with a big four international accounting firm to Africa was followed by further postings to Asia and the Middle East . This decade long sojourn in the Orient facilitated an extensive and expansive experience of a broad spectrum of the firm’s international client base and their respective business models and philosophies.
James returned to Ireland in the mid nineties and founded the firm which today has grown in to a vibrant and progressive firm of professionals . Based in Blackrock, Dublin it services an extensive client base spanning the entire country and beyond.
The firm has developed an ever expanding client base in the specialised niche areas of company reorganizations, management buy-outs and buy-ins, mediation and dispute resolution, re-engineering of bank facilities and allied business challenges. Recognising the ever increasing complexities of contemporary business models and commercial transactions the firm experienced a growing need for muti-disciplinary skills . In particular, the cross pollenisation of the accounting and tax facets of commercial transactions with those of legal and contractual dimensions crystalised the benefits to be had from having an in-depth legal training and experience. After extensive academic undertakings which were followed by intensive practical experience at the coal face of the legal profession James was called to the Bar and was awarded a practicing Certificate as a Barrister in recent years . He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators London.
